Trinida Moruga Scorpion pepper, a native variety from Trinidad, North America, was measured by the New Mexico State University Pepper Institute in 2012 with a maximum spicability of 200,920 SHU and an average spicability of 1.2 million SHU. They're called scorpion peppers because they have scorpion-like spines on their tails.

From the Trinidad and Tobago series of 7 Pot peppers, named for its spiciness: one can make seven POTS. The seven-pot Dugra is different from other of the hottest peppers in the world in that it is the only non-red pepper with a color similar to the brown color of chocolate, so it is also known as the chocolate seven-pot.

The well-known variety of the seven-pot series, originally discovered by the famous horticulturist Troy, has a spiciness of 1.469 million SHU.
