Guizhou is located in 24-29 degrees north latitude, the suitable geographical location, resulting in a mild climate, rain and heat, moderate light, suitable for a variety of high-quality pepper cultivation. Why did Zunyi Pod pepper gradually form this fine variety?  This year by the taste, shape, color and other screening, and finally formed our Zunyi Zhaotian pepper unique excellent varieties. In fact, such screening is also based on the local environment, that is, natural selection. The genetic variation of pepper is definitely influenced by or related to the growing environment. For example, in terms of disease resistance and insect resistance, the pepper germplasm that can be preserved now must be the best in the local growing environment. Therefore, the excellent varieties of Zunyi Chaotian pepper have regional attributes."

Among them, the pepper planting area ranks first in the national prefecture-level city, and Zunyi Pod pepper is selected as the advantage area of agricultural products with Chinese characteristics.
In the first half of 2023, Zunyi completed the pepper planting area of 1.983 million mu, and created more than 500 demonstration sites at all levels, with a demonstration area of about 113,000 mu; Signed orders to plant 800,000 mu, create more than 60 professional pepper towns and villages, cultivate more than 50,000 professional pepper farmers.
At present, the cumulative output of fresh pepper in the city is 64,603 tons, and the cumulative output value is about 310 million yuan.
